Rene smiled and sat down across from him.
A servant brought tea, but she left it untouched. Emperor Otto studied that for a moment, then reached for his own cup first.
"You failed to attend my birthday banquet—you wouldn't come all this way to the capital without reason. It's two weeks from Rozental without a magical carriage."
"That's true."
Rene finally lifted her cup and continued:
"I've decided to give up on Rozental, actually. Count Dekanal will take up the administration of the territory again."
