Derrick entered the duke’s study and stood before Yuan.

“The handwriting analysis has come back.”

He handed over the document he was holding. Yuan took it and quickly skimmed through the pages.

“The result shows that the handwriting on the letter you gave me and the handwriting on Sophia’s suicide note belong to two different people.”

At Derrick’s words, Yuan raised his gaze. A frown formed between his brows as he set the document down on his desk.

“Not the same person?”

“Yes, that’s correct.”

“Understood. You may go.”

Yuan gave a short nod, dismissing him. Once alone in the study, Yuan leaned back deeply in his chair.

He hadn’t thought that Lydia herself had forged the letter and suicide note by mimicking Celaret’s or Sophia’s handwriting. There was likely someone around her skilled enough to do such a thing. If that were the case, she probably had that person…
