A deep sigh echoed through the Duke's office.

After being ordered to leave by Edward, Rosendal had returned to his desk and was reviewing documents.

Tepe, who had come back to write reports, raised an eyebrow.

"What's wrong, Head Butler?"

He glanced at the papers in Rosendal's hands.

"It shouldn't be that difficult to prepare a one-year budget for the Duchess."

"...The budget His Grace assigned is far too generous."

"You may not like it, but it's His Grace's decision."

Rosendal frowned slightly, understanding what Tepe meant.

Tepe simply shrugged.

"Well, I was a little shocked earlier too."

He wasn't talking about the documents.

He meant the fact that Edward had allowed only Lucy into his room.

"But His Grace must not be in serious condition. If it were really bad, he would have called us too."
