Adrian tilted his head, looking completely bewildered.
“Huh? Why wouldn’t I understand you? You just have to talk normally.”
“That’s what I’m asking. How can you understand a language you’ve never heard before?”
“Huh? A language I’ve never heard before?”
Both boys turned their attention toward me.
“(Can you understand what I’m saying?)”
Adrian shouted in confusion.
“Talk like you did earlier! You asked me my name and told me you were ten years old. Why are you suddenly speaking some weird language?”
