With twenty-four hours perpetually feeling not quite enough, every single day was an emergency.

"We'll need to go shopping for supplies soon."

"We will. There's more to prepare than I expected. It says disguise costumes are an absolute necessity."

"Of course. Those are non-negotiable."

"Kael's birthday is the day after tomorrow, so things will be hectic in the meantime. Let's go back to the square in about three days."
