A cold atmosphere hung in the hall. Artie, suddenly summoned, stood alone in the center of the chilly hall.

The Empress, seated aloofly on her throne, received Artie alone.

“M-may Archangele’s blessing be with―.”

“No greetings are necessary.”

A cold voice, sharp as a knife, cut through. Artie clenched her trembling hands tightly and bowed her head.

Empress Ludmila, having cut off Artie’s words, commanded coldly.

“Kneel.”

“Kneel her.”

The attendants, following the Empress’s command, seized Artie and forced her to her knees. Kneeling, Artie could only bite her lip and bow her head.

After her conversation with Ronen was overheard by Empress Veronica, she had been with Ronen all this time before being summoned.
