"It's the Baron's child, like the rumor says... right?"

The brightness that had come into Adele's face at the sight of Tanya dimmed again.

"You saw them on the way here, didn't you? The graffiti condemning the Wolf Clan."

It wasn't only graffiti. In some places they had made dolls of Christine and the Wolf Clan and strung them up by the neck, or burned them and put the charred remains on display.

The longer the war with the Holy See dragged on, the fiercer people's hatred of the Wolf Clan had grown.
