Cassion accepted Karman's abdication of the throne. On the same day, Karman summoned the nobles of the council of elders, made the announcement, and in the same breath named the special committee that would oversee the abdication process.
Since it was something they'd been preparing for a long time, the whole process moved ahead at a brisk clip.

"That's right, tomorrow. But Diana, why are you still dawdling around here?"
