Karman had funded the wedding with a substantial sum of money instead of a gift.
I'd heard it cost quite a fortune, and even a casual glance from outside confirmed it was magnificent.
"It's incredible. Anyone looking at this would think it's the palace His Majesty himself lives in."
Janice's comment came with a slight exaggeration.
Decoration aside, Dayson's palace stood lower than Karman's. By law, no one but the king was permitted to own or occupy a building taller than the king's own.
Still, at a glance, it was grand and sprawling enough to mistake for one anyway.
