Cade looked at me with a doubtful expression.

“Look over there. There are ancient words engraved on the Crystal Whales’ tail fins.”

He stared intently at the place I pointed to and tilted his head to the side.

Then he floated into the air, went closer to inspect their tail fins, and came back.

“I can’t see anything.”

“You can’t see them?”

I was startled and rubbed my eyes before looking again.

As expected, I could clearly see the ancient words glowing.

By then, Tris had already returned to his small form and was sitting quietly, so I called him over.

“Tris. Come here for a moment. Can’t you see those either?”
