Nunuki was startled by the sound of someone pounding on the door and lifted her gaze. She had been preparing medicine, frowning as she got up from her seat.
“Judging by the way they’re banging, this isn’t just some ordinary nuisance.”
Clicking her tongue, Nunuki approached the door. But before she could get close, the door suddenly burst open with a loud crash. The Royal Guards poured in.
Nunuki looked at them, bewildered. Her pupils flickered nervously.
“Where is Nunuki?”
“I-I’m Nunuki… What brings you here?”
It didn’t seem like they were just annoying visitors. Sensing something was wrong, her face stiffened.
“Take her away!”
The captain of the guards nodded, and the guards grabbed Nunuki by both arms and began dragging her away.
“What did I do wrong! I haven’t done anything!”
Nunuki shouted as she was dragged, but no one paid…
