Even after Adrian left, Jaelin lay there dazed for a long while.

She truly had not known she had a peanut allergy. It was because, at the orphanage, she had rarely come across a variety of ingredients.

There was only dry bread, thin, watery soup, and a bit of vegetables—that was all.

‘The peanut bread was really delicious, though.’

It was her first time eating it today, and it was truly a shame she could never eat it again.

It was while she lay there blankly, lost in thought, that Jaelin’s bracelet blinked.

‘Is it Stefan?’

He must have been terribly worried since she had suddenly collapsed.

The name displayed in the private chat notification was not Stefan. A name she had thought would never appear was there.
